General Description
JIC 3065 is a non-asbestos gland packing made from high-quality carbon graphite fiber that has been impregnated with PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) and special lubricants.
This packing is designed to provide an excellent combination of resistance to high temperature, pressure, and chemicals while maintaining low friction in dynamic applications such as pumps, mixers, and valves.
Material and Composition
• Base Material: Carbonized graphite fiber
• Impregnation: PTFE and special anti-friction lubricant
• Braiding Type: Square braided (dense and uniform)
• Color: Dark gray to black
Characteristics and Performance
• Temperature Resistance: up to approx. 450 °C (in dry atmosphere), approx. 300 °C (in fluid media)
• Max Pressure: up to 20 bar (for pumps), 100 bar (for valves)
• Shaft Speed: up to 20 m/s
• pH Range: 2 – 12 (resistant to most chemicals, mild acids, alkalis, and solvents)
Advantages
• Excellent wear and oxidation resistance at high temperatures
• Low friction coefficient → extends shaft and sleeve service life
• Dimensionally stable and non-degradable
• Suitable for both dry and wet applications
Typical Applications
• Centrifugal and piston pumps
• Mixers and agitators
• Industrial valves
• Chemical, petrochemical, power generation, pulp & paper, and wastewater industries
