Teadit Style 2007
is a gland packing made from pure expanded PTFE (ePTFE) yarn with uniformly encapsulated graphite.
Technical
Specifications
- Material: Expanded PTFE with graphite and high-temperature silicone lubricant
- Temperature Range: -200°C to +280°C (-328°F to +536°F)
- Pressure Limits:
- Static: up to 200 bar (2900 psi)
- Rotating: up to 35 bar (507 psi)
- Reciprocating: up to 100 bar (1450 psi)
- Shaft Speed: up to 25 m/s (4921 fpm)
- Chemical Resistance: pH 0–14 (resistant to almost all chemicals)
Key
Advantages
- High Heat Dissipation: The addition of graphite significantly improves thermal conductivity compared to pure PTFE, allowing higher shaft speeds without the risk of overheating.
- Low Coefficient of Friction: Minimizes wear on shafts and sleeves.
- Certification: Approved by WRAS for use in potable (drinking) water applications.
Typical
Applications
Teadit Style 2007 is highly versatile and commonly used in:
- Equipment: Centrifugal pumps, valves, mixers, agitators, and reciprocating shafts
- Industries: Chemical and pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, oil and gas, power generation, and wastewater treatment
- Limitations: Not recommended for strong oxidizing media such as fuming nitric acid, aqua regia, or molten alkali metals
