Tombo 9078 Gland Packing is a braided packing made from crysotile asbestos which is impregnated with TFE dispersion and lubricant. Asbestos fiber provides the packing with heat resistance, abrasion resistance and flexibility. TFE protects it from chemical attack. TFE content is approximately 30% by weight.
Application: Centrifugal & reciprocating pumps, Agitators, Autoclaves, Valves etc.
Seal: Corrosive fluids except strong acids, Alkalis, Organic solvents, Foods etc.
Temperature service: up to 260C
