Gland Packing 9043 is made of KYNOL fiber which is fiberized phenol resin, braided into square cross section and impregnated with TFE dispersion and lubricant. Design for pump shafts for high temperatures and pressures.
The most economical among non asbestos packings for chemicals, such as TFE, carbon fiber, G-Flon and aramid fiber. It provides more efficient sealing than conventional asbestos packing not only for chemicals, but also for water and steam.
Application: Centrifugal pumps, Mixers, Agitators, autoclaves etc.
To seal: Water, Steam, Organic solvents, except strong oxidizing Acids
acids (fuming nitric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, aqua regia etc)
Temperature service: up to 180C
