Overview
Teadit TF 1510 is a highly compressible PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) gasket sheet designed for industrial sealing applications where conventional PTFE sheet materials may struggle (e.g., uneven or fragile flanges). It’s part of Teadit’s structured TF series of gasket materials.
Key Features
- Material: Virgin PTFE filled with hollow glass micro-spheres, giving excellent compressibility and malleability.
- Color: White.
- Excellent compressibility: Makes it ideal for uneven or older flanged joints and stress-sensitive/fragile connections
- Outstanding chemical compatibility: Resistant to a wide range of aggressive fluids including hydrocarbons, acids, caustics, solvents, water, steam, refrigerants, etc. (chemically inert pH 0–14).
- Easy to install and remove: Highly malleable and can conform to flange surface irregularities; used gaskets typically come off cleanly.
- Flame-resistant: Suitable for many demanding industrial environments
Typical Service Limits
- Temperature range: approx. −268 °C to +260 °C continuous service.
- Pressure rating: up to around 55 bar (depending on thickness/conditions).
- Sheet size & thickness: Standard sheets ~1500 × 1500 mm; common thicknesses from ~1.5 mm to ~3.0 mm (varies; other sizes may be available).
Performance Notes
- Very low cold flow/creep compared to standard PTFE materials due to structured fibrillation.
- Excellent mechanical strength and stress retention.
- Performs well in vacuum to moderate pressures.
Typical Applications
- Flanged joint sealing where high compressibility is needed
- Chemical, petrochemical, and industrial processing
- Services involving aggressive chemicals
- Stress-sensitive flange materials (e.g., glass-lined, ceramics, plastics)
